Housed in the heritage-listed former Readers Digest building in inner-Sydney, the 10,000 metre² floor plate of the new Woolworths Liquor Group wraps around a captivating rooftop garden of mature trees, planting and paving. A simple, generous path around the internal perimeter allows all employees to benefit from views and access to the garden, which now acts as an open-air informal meeting and social venue.
The focal point of the four floor interior space is a 24-seat Wine Tasting Room which lies between the two main contact centres and occupies the prime north-facing frontage to the courtyard. Complete with secure wine racking for over 3000 bottles, the finishes and fine detailing of this space clearly define it as the heart of the business. Completed 2011.
