Senior Project Architect

A position for an experienced Project Architect has become available at our award winning practice in our new office in Alexandria. The full-time role is within our multi-residential, masterplanning and large-scale projects team and requires excellence in design, documentation, detailing and construction advice. The successful candidate will have a positive and hard-working attitude, excellent time management skills and meticulous attention to detail. They will be passionate about design with solid site experience. Experience with Revit software is also required. They will have 7 to 10+ years full-time post-graduate experience and a stand out design portfolio. A role has become available at Smart Design Studio, in our beautiful new office in Alexandria, for a permanent full-time receptionist/admin assistant. The successful candidate will have a polished presentation, friendly, positive and hardworking attitude, excellent time management skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Your duties will include:
• Answering incoming calls and recording and relaying telephone messages.
• Meeting and greeting clients.
• Meeting room bookings and maintenance.
• Organising catering for meetings.
• Organising catering and meeting rooms for presentations and staff events.
• Ordering stationery and office supplies.
• Ensuring all office equipment is stocked and maintained.
• Mail collection and delivery and receiving and dispatching courier items.
• Undertaking outside deliveries/collections.
• Maintaining the reception and kitchen areas.
• Providing ad hoc administrative support as required.
• General ad hoc office duties and tidying.
You will be bright, positive and proactive by nature. You will be flexible and willing to take on additional work in busy periods.
You must have:
• An excellent phone manner
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Excellent PC and Microsoft Office skills
• Adobe Creative Suite experience would be an advantage as is experience with accounting software
• Strong organisation skills with an ability to prioritise and multi-task
• Work with accuracy and attention to detail
• Professional personal presentation
• Ability to work unsupervised or with minimal direction in a team environment
• Willingness to learn, show initiative and be a proactive team player
• Positive attitude

3D Architectural Visualiser

We are currently recruiting for a talented and enthusiastic 3D architectural visualiser in our Alexandria office.
You will be working closely alongside the architectural design teams and you will be translating and interpreting the design from conceptual through to photo-realistic images for planning and final design for construction:
Skills and Experience
• Minimum of 4 years’ CGI experience
• A strong understanding of architectural terminology and effective production across all necessary disciplines including modelling, texturing, lighting, rendering and post-production.
• Previous and successful experience in a similar level creative role.
• Strong CG agency and/or design agency experience.
• You will have a proven track record of delivering superior quality exterior and interior CGIs.
• Able to demonstrate excellent artistic and technical knowledge and have a keen eye for detail, composition and design.
• The CGIs will range from concept design, through planning all the way to final construction.
• Experience of driving the creative process through an agency from initial briefing to final product
• Comfortable working to deadlines both within a team environment and individually.
• Self-motivated, able to communicate effectively, and inspire those around you.
• You can demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of 3ds Max, V-Ray and Photoshop.
• Knowledge of Rhino, Revit and Enscape would be advantageous.
• An architectural or interior design background is beneficial but not a necessity.
• All candidates must have excellent verbal and written English skills.
• You must be eligible to work in Australia.
