The transformation of this house in the Inner West centred on a kitchen renovation. The design was developed to link two spaces separated by a split level within the existing family home. Our design solution comprises a continuous custom artwork that stretches between the two spaces, connecting the kitchen/dining area on the lower level with the casual lounge above.
Expand ContentThe commissioned artwork, by Melbourne artist Camille Hannah, was meticulously designed and mounted onto the face of the generous overhead joinery to serve a functional and decorative purpose.
Stained timber bleachers also help connect the two spaces, offering opportunity for casual seating. As does the timber dining room table, which doubles as a utilitarian preparation space for the kitchen and informal dining area where friends and family can interact.
